We write practical, trip-planning-first content: when to go, how permits work, how to get between towns, and how to choose where to stay based on which area actually suits your trip.
The site is actively growing — new destination guides and where-to-stay pages are added regularly as we expand coverage across the region.
What you'll find here
Coverage is split into two kinds of pages, and we link between them rather than treating them as separate sites:
- Destination guides — trip planning for a place or a season, such as the Sikkim travel guide, the Darjeeling travel guide, when to visit Sikkim and a first-timer's shortlist for Gangtok.
- Where-to-stay guides — organised by neighbourhood and budget rather than a generic top-10 list, such as where to stay in Gangtok and where to stay in Darjeeling.
How this guide is written
We don't invent hotel names, prices or opening hours. Where a page doesn't yet have verified, up-to-date listings, we say so instead of guessing — and we'd rather a guide be shorter and accurate than long and padded. Practical details like permits, road conditions and altitude change often, so treat published dates as the point to double-check anything time-sensitive before you travel.
