This village is situated at a distance of 28 Kms, on Angul-Bagedia road. The village is known for its shrine dedicated to Goddess Ramchandi. She is believed to be possessed of great powers. It is believed that by worshipping Goddess Ramchandi sterile women will obtain children. On the foundation of the old temple, one magnificent temple was constructed. A Yatra is held here on the second day of Krishna Paksha Bhadra. This Yatra is known as Ramchandi Yatra or Kaduali Yatra This Yatra is celebrated with a big ceremony every year. Thousands of people attend this Yatra.
Best time to visit
The temple area observes a procession of royal category during the month of Bhadra, which is generally celebrated in the month of September. Sight of that is really going to be an awesome experience and hence, the best time to visit the temple is during that time of the year. The festibval is also known as Kaduali Yatra or ramchandi Yatra. If you go to the town during this time, make sure that you have made a pre-booking at the hotel, since rooms are less available during that time.
How to reach
You will have to reach Kosala first to reach this village. Kosala is 28 Kms away from Angul. One can reach Angul by bus or train. There is regular bus service available to Kosala from Angul. From Kosala, Ramchandi is only 20 Kilometres and that have to travel by a local vehicle. Tri to the place is wonderful and if you go there during the August September month, you will return with a huge experience.
